True Foods, known for its healthy menu options and one of Drake's favorite restaurants. But what is the truth of it? Well, the truth is... it is starting to become one of my favorite local restaurants!😍👏🏽
It's design is very modern yet rustic. With plants around for a pretty pop of color! 🌱
Starting with drinks I got the honey lemonade with an add of matcha! 🍵 But warning, it isn't going to be super sweet like regular lemonade. However, all of the natural sweetness and flavors from it make it a beautifully refreshing beverage! 🍋🍯
Now for the appetizer, edamame dumplings. I absolutely loved these dumplings! Usually edamame isn't my favorite green but this starter has me wanting to lick the bowl! The sauce at the bottom that contains dashi and truffle oil is addictive! 👏🏽👏🏽
Then there is the main course🍜
These are the Thai Red Chili Noodles! Very savory and subtle hints of spice🌶 The presentation was beautiful and definitely had a variety of flavors and colors showing😍 🌈
Another very important element of any noodle dish that needs to be clearly presented are the textures. This dish cannot disappoint when it comes to that! From the crunch of the walnuts and the vegetables, perfect al dente noodles, and still very saucy/ not dry with the delicious broth. The spice from it too was amazing! I am in love with spicy food😂
Last but not least, dessert! Very simple chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream. The twist is it contains no flour! The topping is cocoa nibs, a very delicious and healthy alternative for chocolate sprinkles.🍫 The cake was sooo rich! It may have been a little too dense for me but 1, it's flourless and 2, the light vanilla ice cream with the decadent caramel sauce made up for it😋 But come on, just in this picture you can see all of the seeds from the vanilla bean, talk about yum!!
